Still alive

Just wanted to get a little note up here on the front saying that, yes, I am still alive and haven’t completely forgotten about the site. There will be an update in the Words section (my blog) soon, but let’s just say for now that my state of mind hasn’t been the best of late. If you look at the biggest tag over there on the left, I’ll bet you can guess why. Sorry.

I’ve been trying to figure out how to do this since I got the site up and here they are – :rss: feeds for the entire site (was already here but I’ll take credit anyway LOL) as well as for each individual section So now you can subscribe to only what you want to read about if you don’t really want to read my every rambling word! The sidebar has all the active feeds, pick what you want.

Got me a sewing machine and so we have a new section! There’s pictures of projects-to-be and a post about them and my new toy in the Thread section.

I’ve also been working on getting links up in each section and getting the sidebar working correctly. Sorry if you’ve been interrupted by my uploading crappy mistakes Thought I had it all worked out…not. Still working on the spacing but it’s coming along now. I’m thinking I’ll need a links page before too long, some place to put every link I have. That’ll probably be a while tho!

Finally got another page set up – the beginning of the Beads section. All that’s there right now is some pictures of jewelry and stitch markers I’ve made, but it’s a start

This works the same way as the yarn section, and all future sections will work the same way. There’s a slide show of pictures at the top and post excerpts below. I like to think of it as an overview of sorts. I’m still feeling my way around how I want the site to work but so far I’m liking this. I’m hoping it’s pretty easy to get around and find interesting things to see and read (well, as interesting as I ever get ). I’m thinking I’ll need to add a way to just read all posts in a section but that’s a little ways off, since there’s no need if there’s only one or two posts to begin with.

I’d almost forgotten how addictive working on this stuff is, getting everything exactly the way I want it to work!

So it was two weeks rather than the one I mentioned on the previous index page. Eh, I’m not as good at this as I used to be…:PHP: kicks my ass all over the place.

CarinaDanesi.com is now live…the few parts that are actually ready, that is. You’ll probably still find 404 pages, the sidebar will be worked on for a while yet, there are no links any where, that sort of thing. What’s here should be usable tho and from here on out I don’t think I’ll have to break anything to get something new working (knock on wood). If it does break tho, I’ll try to keep updates here in front.
